The 2025 Annual Call for Projects of the setec Foundation focused on the theme: “Implementation of an agroecological transition to support food self-sufficiency.”
Following a rigorous process of scoping, selection, and evaluation carried out by our volunteer employees and the members of the Executive Committee, four projects were selected as award winners:

- SOL, Sénégal : Biofermes in Senegal – Developing, testing, and disseminating replicable agroecological practices through farmer-led training farms and collective production spaces, while strengthening sustainable local value chains and enhancing the food and economic autonomy of rural family farms.

- La Smalah, France : L’Airial du Tastot – Bringing agriculture back to the heart of the village, developing organic vegetable production, training future professionals, and delivering an extensive outreach and education programme focused on sustainable food systems and rural heritage. €25,000

- Action for Sustainable Development, Cameroon – Supporting the empowerment of women and youth in the North through the adoption of sustainable and climate‑resilient agricultural practices – Strengthening the autonomy and resilience of women and young people by promoting sustainable agroecological practices, valuing farmers’ traditional knowledge, and developing short local marketing channels.

- Les Enfants de Madagascar, Madagascar Supporting the development of subsistence agriculture – Expanding food crop production, building numerous wells, and supporting the planting of fruit trees and other species to address the near absence of fruit in local diets, while also fostering the development of natural products (inputs, organic insecticides).
